Founded in 2019 in the United States by Marcos Soares, Batsball was created with a simple but powerful mission: to bring people together through a fast-paced, easy-to-learn bat-and-ball game that promotes inclusion, opportunity, and community.
At the heart of Batsball is the belief that sports should be accessible to everyone. The game is designed to remove common barriers found in traditional sports, emphasizing equal participation, active play, and a fun, family-friendly environment where players of different ages and skill levels can enjoy the experience together.

Batsball was born from a simple childhood memory and a big dream.
Growing up, Marcos Soares fell in love with bat-and-ball games. Like many kids, he played not for trophies or recognition, but for the pure joy of the game — the laughter, the competition, and the moments shared with friends. Those early experiences planted a seed that would stay with him for years.
In 2019, driven by passion and a vision to create something new, Marcos began developing what would become Batsball. But behind the vision was also something deeply personal — a promise.
That same year, Marcos lost his mother after her battle with dementia. Before she passed, he made her a promise that he would create something meaningful, something that could bring people together through sport. Batsball became part of keeping that promise alive.
Working largely on his own, he studied traditional bat-and-ball sports and asked an important question:
What if there were a game designed truly for everyone?
From that question came years of testing, learning, adjusting rules, and introducing the game to local communities. The goal was never just to invent another sport — it was to build something simple to learn, exciting to play, and welcoming to people of all ages and skill levels.
The journey has not always been easy. Building a new sport requires persistence, creativity, and belief, even when progress feels slow. But step by step, game by game, the Batsball community has continued to grow.
